Staycation: Meranti Hotel Quezon City (March 2017)

It's our Tariel's first birthday, but we decided to celebrate it in a simple way. We have a small family lunch at house and then we booked a hotel just here in Manila, and that's is Meranti Hotel located in Quezon City.

Good thing that this hotel is easy to find,we booked via travelbook.ph, for 3 days and 2 nights. Well, based on what i have read on other review Meranti hotel gives a complimentary Gulaman drink upon waiting for checking in, I saw a group of koreans were given this drink and the sad reality is we didn't received that drink even upon reaching our room. Though their staff are accommodating and smiling all the time.

Room:
We booked a standard room, the room is very spacious and enough for the three of us, Tariel can walk and crawl around the room. But our room is facing a big white wall, I do hope that they offer their room with a view. Another good thing about their room is they have a SMART TV so you can browse the net if you want.

Breakfast:

Breakfast is served near the hotel lobby, there's a few range of food to choose from, but I think you can check their menu for other choices. (anyway we received a complimentary pancake for Tariel :) lucky kiddo!)

Bathroom:

What I don't like on their bathroom is your reflection can be seen at the opposite side where there's a wide mirror (see my post above), the glass frost didn't help a lot to cover up.

POOL:

The Pool is located at the roof top, they called it 'Penthouse'. A small size dipping pool and you can't enjoy it once it become crowded. Good thing that we were the first one to use the pool and we are able to take a photo like this.

Overall we had a good stay in Meranti Hotel, my husband want to go back here :)

  1. The room is nice though, You can ask the reception for a room change if you really wanted a view, and the drinks maybe it's a complimentary included to the Koreans room rates or the service is quite slow that's why they haven't given you guys a complimentary drinks. I work in a hotel for a long time and it's really hard to pleased everyone. I love your review.

  2. I love all your hotel reviews. I work in QC and it's really surprising that there are a lot of boutique hotel choices around the area. :)
