Staycation: Novotel Araneta

Last November 2016 B and I celebrated our first wedding Anniversary at Novotel Araneta. We decided to have a staycation in Quezon City since we have to back at work after the weekend.

I booked Novotel via Booking.com so far check in the hotel is no fuss. But, what I notice is they don't offer us to bring our bag into the room, though it's not a big deal since the bag are all hand carry. Another reason why we choose to stay here is the restaurant and the mall are just near.

An overnight stay is not bad, they even surprised us a little token since it's our first wedding anniversary, I never thought they would really read the note I put on my confirmation letter. I really have a good sleep in their bed. Breakfast buffet is overwhelming because of many food to choose from. We will definitely back here!

How to Make a No-Bake Fudgee Barr Cake

So, I got this recipe in Facebook, this is so easy! First you have to ready the ingredients

Ingredients: (I don't have the measure but this one is good for 10 serving)

2 Pack of Alaska Crema (All purpose cream) (Actually you can use one pack)
2 pack of Cream-O ( you can use Oreo if you want)
1 can of F&N Condensed milk
1 Pack of Fudgee Bar (Dark Chocolate)

Total cost: PHP 224

Mix Condensed milk and Alaska crema all purpose cream.

Place the fudgee barr in the container (Tips: To make a double layer, Chill the fudgee barr for 1 hour then sliced it to the middle)

Pour the Mix condensed milk and alaska crema, then crashed the cream-o then put it on the top.
Then repeat the steps.

Chilled for four hours.

And voila! serve it! :)

Cocoon Boutique Hotel 2015 (Quezon City)

Last year November 14, 2015 after my wedding we decided to spend a night in Cocoon Boutique Hotel, our first night as husband and wife. Since I'm pregnant during that time stay cation is the best option for us and Cocoon is just in Quezon city not far away on my home. We booked through Agoda, though it's our first time to stay in this hotel, this is not the first time we visit it , way back in 2013 we avail their discounted promo in their Spa through dealgrocer. Aside from that this hotel is number 1 in Quezon City. See photos below:

From my Tripadvisor review:

We stayed here last Nov. 14, 2015 right after my wedding, We already tried the Spa here way back in 2013 but it's our first time to stay overnight. The receptionist was accommodating he even asked us if there's any occasion that we celebrate and i said that we were on honeymoon. I thought he is going to give us some token or whatever but he just smiled or maybe he didn't believe that we were newlywed. The next thing happened we were given keys to a wrong room. It was a deluxe room and we book a Studio king. I wonder how come he made a mistake since we handle a Agoda print to him anyway we called him right away and we were transfer to our designated room. Were plan to roam in rooftop but there's an event happening. The Breakfast buffet is fine nothing much to choose from. I think this hotel is overpriced

View Park Hotel Tagaytay Staycation (April 2016)

Tagaytay is very close to my heart, B and I been here so many times. So, when my mom decided to have a quick vacation, Tagaytay is the first thing that come out on my mind, actually my mom prefer Baguio for a change but I was recently given birth and a long travel is very exhausted for me.

Aside from that Tyrus is just one month so maybe we will visit Baguio next time when Tyrus can appreciate the beauty of that place.

I suggested View Park Hotel since it was just across Picnic Grove and my mom hasn't been there although it's her second time in Tagaytay. Aside from that it was a commuter friendly hotel if you don't have a car then this one is for you.

View Park Hotel - According to tripadvisor it was top 5 hotel in tagaytay. I find them room rates affordable and accessible because they are just along highway.

Two days before when we decided to booked,my mom said that we will just walk in but I said that there is a  possibility that the hotel is fully booked. But during that time my internet connection sucks! as we don't have connection for four days so I decided to text them, good thing they called me to confirmed my booking, I love how they treat their customer.

We booked two Deluxe room, but I suggest you booked their Premiere room 'cause it's look much cozier. See below for some snapshot.
